Xonae Heaton

Stylist in North Park, San Diego

Specializing in vivid colors, razor haircuts, and natural lived-in styles.

Xo is a hairstylist specializing in razor cuts, alternative hair, and vivid color transformations. Known for creating looks that feel expressive, wearable, and distinctly personal, she combines technical skill with an eye for individuality—whether that means soft texture, bold color, or something beautifully outside the expected.

Her chair is an intentionally inclusive space where clients are encouraged to show up exactly as they are. With gender-free pricing and a supportive approach to neurodivergent needs, she focuses on making the salon experience comfortable, collaborative, and low-pressure. Great hair is the goal; feeling seen is part of the service.

“I want everyone to leave my chair feeling their best, and more importantly, most authentic self. I don’t believe in rules for how your hair should look other than how you want it to look.” — XH

A 2023 graduate of Paul Mitchell The School, she is committed to continued education and believes great hair starts with staying curious. She regularly attends advanced classes through Edge The Academy and continues to refine her craft through industry conferences and supplemental online education throughout the year.

Her advanced training includes Best of Both Worlds: Vivids + Balayage, expanding her expertise in creative color placement and dimensional results, as well as certification in DreamCatchers Hair Extensions. She also participates in weekly cutting education and mentorship with renowned educator Kelle Schlax, continually developing her technical precision and evolving approach to cutting.
