Founded in 2008 by Owner/Operator and Master Stylist Adrianne Tolentino, The LAB has created thousands of classic, custom, and alternative looks for women and men, hosted a plethora of public and private events including runway shows featuring hair and fashion, consistent continuing education classes, and fabulous fêtes — all while maintaining a rich reputation for excellence, expertise, passion, professionalism, and good ole' badassery.

Adrianne Tolentino
Owner / Operator
Adrianne “Age” Tolentino is a master stylist/cutter/colorist and educator with a passion for the art of styling. She opened The LAB in 2008 with a vision of providing exceptional experiences for both clients and stylists, which remains her ethos of operations to this day.
Age served as a TIGI Ambassador for seven years, and continuous to educate and collaborate with Alfaparf Milano, as well as Anthony Edge of Edge Academy, creator of the Sitch product line. She utilizes her roles as perpetual teacher and student to propel her growth as an artist and owner. Her madly progressive and innovative specialties include the latest in hair cutting, color techniques (balayage, hair painting, etc.), extensions, smoothing treatments, styling, and avant-garde looks. She regularly participates in fashion and hair shows, photo shoots, publication and event styling.
Chris Atkins
Operations, Project & Communications Director
Chris Atkins is the LAB’s Operations, Project, & Communications Director, and Age's life and business partner. Utilizing his wealth of experience in a variety of areas, Chris’ central role includes business development; product forecasting, purchasing and analysis; and operations, sales, and financial planning; ensuring the smooth operations of The LAB.
Balancing a bustling salon while maintaining a harmonious household with three kids is no small feat, but this dynamic couple does it with grace and determination. Their ability to navigate the dance of entrepreneurship, family, and personal ambitions is nothing short of inspiring. Their story is a testament to the power of love, resilience, and the pursuit of dreams, and it's all waiting for you at The LAB!
